Koa Classroom Mode

A free timer for the classroom projector: one big timer for the whole class, a weekly class goal and a 2–3 minute brain-break card between rounds. No logins, no student data.

Open Classroom Mode
  1. Open pinkoa.com/class on the classroom computer and type a class name (please no student names).
  2. Tap ⚙ Set up to choose focus length, break length and rounds.
  3. Press F for full screen and Space to start. Breaks and the next round run by themselves.

Privacy in the classroom

Data note for school leaders: Koa Classroom Mode processes no personal data about students. There are no accounts or logins. Settings stay in the classroom computer's browser and are never sent anywhere. The timer sets no cookies of its own and loads no Google Fonts or third-party scripts; like every page of our shop, the page may show the shop's cookie banner. How teachers use Koa

Using the timer in class

  1. Open pinkoa.com on the classroom screen or projector.
  2. Press F11 (or Ctrl+Cmd+F on a Mac) for full screen.
  3. Set 25 minutes focus and 5 minutes break (or 15/3 for younger classes). Quick links: 25/5 · 15/3 · 10/2.
  4. Start. Koa studies with the class and naps during the break.

Ideas for lessons

  • Silent reading or practice: 2 rounds of 25/5 in a double lesson.
  • Exam revision weeks: students plan their blocks on the weekly tracker.
  • Homework club: one shared round, then a 5-minute movement break.
  • Younger classes: start with 10 or 15 minutes and build up.

Is everything for teachers really free?

Yes. The study timer, Classroom Mode, the Classroom Kit and the printables on this page are free for classroom use, with no ads and no account. The Koa Starter Pack goes through our shop checkout with an email address, but you pay nothing.

Does Classroom Mode store anything about my students?

No. Koa Classroom Mode processes no personal data about students, and there are no accounts or logins. Settings stay in the classroom computer’s browser and are never sent anywhere. Please type a class name, not student names. Details: the data note above and our privacy policy.

What do I need in the classroom?

One computer with a browser and a projector or big screen. Students don’t need devices, apps or accounts.

Which focus length suits younger classes?

Start with 10 or 15 minutes and build up. The quick links 15/3 and 10/2 set this up in one click.

Can I share the materials with colleagues?
