Short answer: The Koa Study Pact is a free 7 or 14-day study challenge on pinkoa.com. You pick a small goal (focus rounds a day or a week), Koa counts every round you finish with the timer, and on the last day you get a Pact card to share. Bring a buddy with one link. No login, and nothing leaves your browser.
Key takeaways
- One small goal: focus rounds a day or a week, for 7 or 14 days.
- Counts itself: every round you finish with the pinkoa.com timer counts, plus a badge after each round.
- Buddy link: your friend joins the same pact on their own phone. Or study together now with one shared start time.
- Gentle: one Koa nap day a week covers a missed day.
- Private: the pact lives in your browser. No account, no tracking from the pact.

What is the Koa Study Pact?
It is a tiny promise to yourself, with Koa as the witness. You choose how many focus rounds you want to do, either every day or across a week, and how long the pact runs: 7 or 14 days.
That is it. No streak anxiety, no leaderboard, no account. In Finnish, pinkoa means "to run fast", and in student slang it means "to study hard". A pact is the study-hard kind.
How does a pact work?
- Pick a goal: for example 2 focus rounds a day, or 10 rounds a week.
- Pick a length: 7 or 14 days, starting today or tomorrow.
- Study with the timer: every focus round you finish on the free pinkoa.com timer counts automatically.
- Check in: after each round, a small badge under the timer shows "Pact day 3/7 · 2/2 today". The pact page shows a progress ring, day pills and a line from Koa.
You can also download calendar reminders (one .ics file, one reminder a day). They go into your own calendar app.

Koa's tip: Start smaller than you think. A goal you can hit on your busiest day (even 1 round) beats a big goal you skip.
Can I make a pact with a friend?
Yes. Tick "I want a study buddy" and you get a link. It holds only the plan: the goal, the number of days and the start date. Your friend opens it, taps "Join this pact" and runs the same pact on their own phone or laptop.
For studying at the same time, use "Study together now". It makes a link with a start time; both screens count the same focus rounds and breaks from each device's own clock, like our Classroom Mode. No chat, no names, no way to find strangers.

What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing dramatic. Each week of a pact has one Koa nap day: if you miss a day, Koa naps it away and the pact keeps going. And if a pact ends with a few gaps, Koa still celebrates the days you did. Koa never frowns.
Koa says: two rounds a day for a week is already 14 rounds. That is a lot of studying hard!
What do I get at the end?
On the last day Koa throws a small party and opens your Pact card: Koa in a party hat, your days, your goal, and a "with a study buddy" chip if you had one. Download it as a 9:16 story or a square, or share it straight from your phone. It works a lot like the Koa Focus Card.

What does Koa store about me?
Your pact lives only in your browser (local storage, keys starting with "pinkoa.pact"). We never receive it. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, the pact starts fresh. There is a "Forget my pact data" button on the page, and the details are in our privacy policy.
