Shade of the day: no. 22 Mountbatten Pink

Mountbatten Pink, #997A8D. A greyish mauve named after Lord Louis Mountbatten, who had Royal Navy destroyers painted in it in 1940 in the hope it would hide them at dawn and dusk. It pairs beautifully with cream, gold and sage.
