Short version: instead of guessing what you want to watch, we made six very different videos in one day and put them all online at once. In a week we'll look at the numbers and make more of the winner.
Why six at once?
Our study-with-me videos so far looked a lot alike: a timer, a cosy sound, Koa. Some of them did fine, but we never learned why. So this time every video is a different idea, made the same day, with the same Koa and its own original music. Same start, same week: a fair test.
The six videos
1. Exam night with Koa (30 min)
Koa works through tonight's to-do list with you: three focus rounds, a cocoa break, rain outside and soft lo-fi keys. The list ticks itself off as you go.
2. Classroom timer with brain breaks (30 min)
Made for teachers and the projector: big readable numbers, calm music while the class works, and a 2-minute brain break every 8 minutes (stretch to the sky, draw your mood, shake and breathe).
3. Study with me in 3 languages (30 min)
Every break teaches one word in English, German and Finnish. Round one starts with the word our timer is named after: pinkoa, Finnish for "to run fast", and in student slang "to study hard".
4. All 90 shades of pink (15 min)
Our shade-of-the-day series in one calm video: 90 pinks with names, hex codes and three colours each one pairs with. Good for planners, highlighters and palettes.
5. Summer study session by the beach (30 min)
For students in Australia, where end-of-year exams happen in summer: one 25-minute focus round and a 5-minute beach break, with ocean waves, cicadas and warm ukulele-style music. Koa wears a sunhat.
6. I let AI run my startup for 5 weeks (6 min)
The honest behind-the-scenes: 59,742 views across seven platforms, 800+ personal emails, about 40 replies and zero paid orders so far. What worked, what flopped, what's next.
How we'll decide
Each video also has a 15-second Short. After 1, 3 and 7 days we compare views, how long people keep watching, likes and comments, and how many visit pinkoa.com afterwards. The winner gets a series; the others get one more try or a goodbye. We'll share the results on our public dashboard.
